I'm doing fine I just had some McDonalds!

Weekly Update: Today we had changes. My companion Elder Thorpe is staying in Atlixco, Cabrera. He is also going to train a greenie or in other words, he will be getting a kid. I guess the Lord has different plans for me. I was changed to the city of Puebla in Los Angeles. It has pretty much everything. I'm stoked! My new companion is Elder Alvarado and has 21 months in the mission. Also, one of our Zone leaders is from my district in the MTC, Elder Brown. He was telling me that every week we give service every week to help people find jobs. I'm assuming like a call center. This should be fun.

Thank you for all the love a support. I'm excited to see what the Lord has in store for me and this area. I love you guys. Keep pushin on! Dont worry, I'm doing fine I just had some McDonald's. Peace out!

Time is flyin!

Hey guys! What is goin on? How have you guys been? Its good to hear that everyone is growing up... I guess. Kobe is already ten and Alexa is hitting her teenage years. Time is flyin!

Weekly Update: Me and Elder Thorpe, by the way the word "thorpe" means slow or retarded, just a fun fact for you guys. Anyway, we have discovered that our investigator Brother Maximino has been drinking coffee. He has been attending church every Sunday and is doing really good he just needs to drop the coffee. Also, we had divisions this last Saturday. I went and worked in Metepec with Elder Alba and my comp stayed here in Cabrera with Elder Rosgado. Me and Elder Alba were knocking doors and came in contact with a lady and her 6 month old baby. She let us in and we started teaching lesson 1 and at the end of the lesson we asked if she could say the closing prayer. We explained how to pray right before and then she said she would say it. She started off good and she started crying while she was thanking her Heavenly Father. I felt the spirit really strong and that moment just testified to me how important this work is and how important it is to help others know the truth even how to pray. After we asked if we could stop by again and she accepted. It was way cool and I am very thankful to have been a part of that lesson.

Thank you for all the love and support once again. By the way, I did get the birthday box! Thank you guys! It was all super cool. Socks and candy baby! Also, about the shoes. I think It would be better if you guys could send me some shoes. I like dark brown or black. Size 11.5 and if you cant find 11.5 just get 11´s, that should be good. Maybe a new CRT shirt, long sleeve, neck size 15.5. If you could send some more Cetiphil, its the same that Brandon uses. I love you guys. Talk to you later. Peace.

Happy Mothers Day!

Happy Mothers Day! You guys sound awesome. Your fam is so cool. I think that was the first time I have heard Brooklyn talk! I heard Parker a little bit too. I love talking to you guys too.
Weekly update: Maximino will have is interview here on the 10th. Then we will see when we can have his baptism. We also have been teaching Mari, who works for the bishop. She is ready, just a few problems with the word of wisdom and chasity. Other than that, just the same ol work. Contacting, knocking doors and asking for references.
Thanks for all the love and support. Hopefully, I will be able to get your bday package that you guys sent me pretty soon. I want you guys to know that I love you and am thankful to have you and Brandon's example in my life. I know that this church is true and Joseph Smith was a true prophet of Christ and restored his church. The Book of Mormon is true. Love you guys. Peace Out!

It's been 80 degrees in our house!

Hola hola! How have you guys been doing? Its way freakin hot today, you have no idea. The past couple of nights has been a little warm in our house. My comp has a thermometer in his clock and our room temp hangs around 80. Not to bad right ha ha.
Weekly update: Me and my comp, Elder Thorpe, have been working with Hno. Maximino and we have taught him everything and he has been coming to church 3 weeks in a row now. His interview with Pres. Rex will be on May 10th. He is progressing well and I have seen a change in him. Not a huge change but enough to noticed a different level of happiness that he has. You can just see it. Super cool. I'm excited for him and hope that he can continue living the gospel. We have also been trying to get some references through members... It hasn't really been working but hopefully they can help us out. The work goes on.
I know that this church is the church of thy son Jesus Christ. That it has been restored through Joseph Smith who was called of God. That he received the same authority through 3 of Christs original apostles. I know that the priesthood is a responsibility that we have be given to bless the lives of others. I love you guys and am very grateful for all the love a support you show me. I love you Amber! Peace Out!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter! Thanks for the email! Sorry about the mix up the other day. Im just a little slow.

Weekly update: Elder Thorpe and me were going to have a baptism this last Sunday but some things feel through and we will have to wait for couple more weeks. Our investigator Maximino is progressing so well and will have his interview with the President on May 10th. Until then he will have to show his willingness and faith in the Lord and really he is just by doing the basics. Such as praying, reading the Book of Mormon and going to church. These three things are key to having the spirit and strengthening his testimony. Just by doing the basics can protect us from temptation and sin. Its so easy but yet so hard.
Thank you for all the love and support. Peace Out!

Working Hard

Weekly update: My companion Elder Breffle finished his mission and went back to Denver, Colorado. I am staying here in Cabrera and Tulipanes, Atlixco. My new companion is Elder Thorp from Idaho and he has 8 months in the mission. This coming Sunday we will be baptising Maximino if everything works out right. He went to church last Sunday and really liked it. We will see what happens with him this week. Also, with my old comp Elder Breffle, we broke a record in the zone for most contacts. We contact 105 people last week! We worked our feet off. He also had a couple blisters on his feet by the time he left. I told him that's how you know that you finished strong.
Thank you for sending me some birthday love. I haven't got them yet but I cant wait to see what you guys sent me. Also, last week there was an earthquake as you know and no I didn't feel anything... Which is crap because that would have been cool. But other Elders did feel it. Well, thank you for everything you do. I love you guys! Peace!

We did celebrate my bday today

What up! How is Cancun treating you guys? The resort looks awesome! Maybe next year we can hit that up together. Let me know how it goes.
Weekly update: This week went well. We didn't have any baptisms but we found a bunch of new people. Lately, we have been teaching Alberto and his family. They are great and would getting baptised this coming Sunday but we found out that they weren't married. They will probably be baptised next change. Also, this is my companions last week. He will be heading back to Denver, Colorado. I will probably stay here in Atlixco for the change.
We did celebrate my bday today, since it is our pday. We had cake and everything. Also, played some ball. Good times. Thank you for all the love and support. I love you guys. Peace out.

Baptism on Thursday

Hey what up! How have you guys been? How are the little gremlins? You guys stoked for the Mexican sun? Don't be afraid to come pick me up...

Weekly updates: We held the baptism of Jessica on Thursday. The Cabrera ward supported and helped out a ton. We just happened to pick the day when they were repairing the pipes to the baptismal font. We discovered this about 2 hours before the service. Called the bishop and he said he would take care of it. We left it all to him and went back to work. The bishop had pumped all the water into the font and it was all ready to go. We didn't get held up but received blessings for staying focused. It was freezing cold water but also a baptism by fire.

This next Sunday we will have the baptism of Daniel. We will see how this works out. Thank you for all the support and love. Also, this past week we happend to teach to gangsters, well, four but the other two left. All had tattoos and no shirts. One was shaving his had as we taught. They were nice and also spoke English. They said that they have seen people like us in New York but never had time to listen. They believe in the Holy Death and some other things. All have served 10 or more years in jail for manslaughter. It was a pretty cool experience. Talk to you guys next week.

Peace Out,
Elder Bailey

March 7th

Weekly update: Well, I didn't go. Almost, but I didn't. The President actually surprised me again with the changes. I will be staying in my area Atlixco. with just a change with my companion. My new comp is Elder Breffle from Colorado. He seems pretty cool. I think we will be able to work good and put my area back on its feet. We will see how the next couple weeks go.

Well, I'm still here in Mexico, trying to work through the steel wall of Spanish. Maybe some day I will get my butt over it. You guys are freaking awesome and thank you once again for the love and support and all that you do for me.

I know that God lives and that Jesus is the Christ. This is his church. The Book of Mormon is true and is the only book that will draw us nearer to our God than ever before. He knows each of us personally and cares so much for our happiness. I know that he truly loves me through the parents and family which he has blessed me with. Yes, each and everyone of you means the world to me. Thank you for your examples to me. Well, I'm out!

Heeelllloooo!!!

Hey guys whats up? It was way good to hear and talk to you guys again. Especially, you and Brandon. Like I have said before you guys can take what I am feeling and put it into words. You guys are cool ha ha. I have felt a lot better after the call. I wish I could call every 2 months that would be freaking awesome. As for the mission. I still feel the same just happier after talking with the fam.
This week me and Elder Philipum are going to go on divisions again tomorrow and President Rex has invited us to his house to eat dinner with him and Sister Rex. I am a little nervous just because of the feelings that I have about the mission right now. Its just the way I feel. Changing doesn't come all at once or in a bag from the store but through your faith and the effort that you put forth. But the dinner should be awesome. Sister Rex is a really good cook.
Thank you guys for everything once again. I love you guys. I really appreciate Brandon and his advice to me and just talking. Thanks Peace Out!

Hey whats crackin? How is everyone doing this week? Tell Ashlyn thank you for the email and I understood everything she wrote, no worries. Good translation Amber.
Weekly update: Well as you know I was sick the other day. I'm not sure what I had but it only lasted a night. That seems to happen every change. This week we have just been trying to get in and teach. What I have been doing is taking the old investigators forms and contacting them. Then knocking and contacting each side of the old investigator. That's what I have done my whole mission. We have some news that we will get back to this coming week. Other than that the work is the same and hopefully we will have been luck this week.
Thank you for all the emails and updates. I hope everyone is doing well. Love you bye!

2 Investigators

Hey Guys! How you doin? Thank you for the email and the pic of the girls. They sound really fun right now. The Spanish is coming a long I guess I am learning more patiences and enduring to the end. We will see what happens.

Weekly Update: We have 2 investigators Amanda and Jessica. Amanda is progressing well and we have taught just about all the lessons. She loves the church and is doing well. Right now, she is living with her aunt and well she could be baptised today if we have her moms permission. We have been struggling with communicating with her mom. Jessica we have only taught once but she has been taught before. She is doing alright.

This week is my comp's last week. Elder Hernandez will finish his mission this Sunday and head back home to his home to Tampico. Yes, he is a good Elder but yeah, he is dead and ready to head home.

Well, we have the influence of the spirit in our lives and the priesthood which is of God. We can receive revelation from him and also can communicate with him through prayer. My question for you guys is "Are all your thoughts from you or are they from a higher power ?". When I was in the MTC Pres. Harris asked this to me. I love you guys thanks for the emails and all the support and extra prayers. Peace Out!

A great conversation with Jordan!

Well. New years was good. They had an activity in the church of new years. Bunch of food and music. We stoped by and grabbed some food then we went to our house. We were supposed to eat with a family that night but they werent home. Then we heard a knock at our door about 1 in the morning. They wanted us to come eat. Um no we went back to bed. They broke pinatas for the new year.

Good. Well we have 1 investigator. Amanda. We have been teaching her. She is living with her aunt. Which happens to be in our ward. Amanda has a testimony and could be baptised anytime. We just need permission from her parents. Well she has been having some family problems with her mom. Her
mom isn't very nice. Long story. We also taught a family yesterday. They just had miscarriage and problems before. We taught the plan of salvation They said they would come to church also.

Yes! I loved it all. And you can hear Parker, he sounds like a fun little baby. I loved the PJ shirt with the girls. It was awesome.

Sorry to change the subject. But we had interviews with the Pres. Rex and he told my comp. to work hard with me on the Spanish because he is going to need some help in the near future. Whatever that means. I'm kind of scared ha ha. I'm tired of this Spanish.

I got to play a little dunk ball!

Hey guys! The Christmas call was awesome! You guys sound great. I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas. Amber, if I could I would have talk to you guys the whole time but well when I get back we will have all day. Love you Amber.
Weekly update: Elder Hernandez and me have been doing a lot of door knocking and looking for references. Sister Star or Hermana Estrella, accompanied us to one of our lessons and showed us more of our area. The people in our ward are really nice and willing to help, which is awesome! Also, Atlixco is know for having the worlds best weather. Perfect for growing all kinds of plants and all kinds of flowers, you girls would really like it here.
We just finished playing soccer. I scored 4 goals! We also played a little dunk ball on the 9ft hoops. Its was way fun. Well, I hope everyone is doing well. I love you guys and it was great to talk to you all. Good times! Thank you for the quotes Amber. Brandon love you man thanks for all the support. Peace!

Feliz Navidad and Merry Christmas! Hey! How is everyone doing? Thank you for the family pics, you guys look awesome! YES! Its Christmas en Mexico!
Weekly update: Well it was my first week here in Atlixco, Cabrera and Tulipanes with Elder Hernandez. Opening up two new area's isn't the easiest job but we are doing it. We haven't had much success yet but through our faith we may work mighty miracles. Elder Hernandez is determined to get 10 baps being his last change. We will see what the Lord has in store for us and the people of this area.
